4) Auto Physical Damage
The intent of this Georgia auto technical course is to give you insights into vehicle construction, damageability and repair so you can better understand the repair process and help understand and settle first party and liability auto claims, while providing adjuster continuing education credits. The intended audience for this reference is the auto liability adjuster, personal lines claims personnel and claims processors. It does not assume that you are trained in auto physical damage. It will be a good primer for those moving on to auto physical damage training and for the claim office-bound professionals who deal with numerous auto estimates each and every day.

5) Auto Subrogation
This two module course will introduce the student to subrogation as it relates to the auto liability claim. In the first module, the meaning of subrogation and its key benefits are identified as well as types of subrogation, general theories of liability, and the elements of negligence liability. In the second module, the various state negligence laws are discussed, as well as basic steps for conducting a subrogation investigation, determining what method to use to pursue subrogation, an explanation of intercompany arbitration, and the components of arbitration contentions.

11) Commercial Trucking
This course is an advanced Commercial Business Auto Liability and Physical Damage study of the trucking industry and the various unusual aspects of such insurance programs. This course will help the adjuster understand scene of an accident investigation. The adjuster will also have an understanding of cargo insurance, including how cargo is shipped and documented, and will be familiar with the differences between handling casualty claims and ocean or inland marine claims. The final module in the course reviews the "absolute pollution exclusion" found in general and commercial automobile coverages (and exceptions to the exclusions) and discusses specific environmental impairment policies designed specifically for insureds with a pollution risk.

15) Insurance Ethics
This course fulfills the state requirement that adjusters complete an Ethics course. This first of three modules deals with the basics of ethics as applicable to the insurance profession, stressing various characteristics of behavior that makes ethics the highest standard as opposed to law, which is the minimum standard. We then examine need for insurance regulation and the applicability of state or federal insurance law and the unfair claims settlement practices acts and other deceptive trade practice acts. The final module focuses on the "good faith" nature of the insurance relationship between the insured and the insurer, and discusses how insurers can become involved in "bad faith" litigation and its adverse results.

19) Workers Compensation (Advanced) Course III
Building on the knowledge learned in WC I & II, this course begins with describing the services of the National Council on Compensation Insurance. You will then learn about the parts of the body and injuries to them that are frequently encountered in claims, their diagnosis and treatment. We will state how to obtain and analyze medical files, the privacy laws, and how to arrange for an independent medical examination.
The last two modules concentrate on how to investigate complicated and serious injury claims. These modules demonstrate the investigation and evaluation of coverage, compensability under the statutes, accident causation, correct preservation of evidence, and the confirmation of medical care and disability.

20) Workers Compensation (Advanced) Course IV
This course begins with a module on federal workers compensation programs that adjusters may encounter in their claim handling. You will then learn about contractual relationships that affect commercial liability and workers compensation claims. In self-insurance and self funding module the student will learn about the basics of risk management including risk financing and the principles involved in self-insurance and self-funding. We will provide you with the knowledge to understand serious injuries, state wrongful death statutes, how to investigate and evaluate a death claim, and how to deal with multiple death and injury claims. The course concludes with defining the insurance coverage for Employers Liability and Employment Practices Liability claims, the kinds of claims covered or excluded under these coverages and the state and federal laws that affect and control these claims.
